PRICING

We analyze each project separately, considering the needs and particularities for planning and pricing. The more information, the better. Therefore, we will request whenever possible:

- Existing plants;

- Updated photos of the place;

- Address;

- Additional Information.

HOW IT WORKS?

Some definitions are decisive for pricing.

- Colored or monochromatic point cloud;

- Level of detail of the point cloud;

- Level of detail of the modeling;

- Elements to be captured and / or modeled;

- Format of deliverables;

- Access to restricted places;

- Time available for the survey.

WHAT TO DEFINE?

- The fewer partitions, the faster the lift;

- The level of detail of the model can be different for different elements;

- The level of detail of the point cloud is important due to the maximum distance between the points and can greatly affect the survey time;

- The 3D laser scanner works very well in dark environments;

- The colorful point cloud adds time in the field.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Have you ever wondered if the 3D laser scanner fits your business? Or if there are advantages to your project? And why are there still resistances for its large-scale application? Then see the questions and answers below. And if new questions arise, contact us!

1. Why invest in the 3D laser scanning service?

The amount of information that can be collected with traditional measurement methods is limited and it is also very common, throughout the project, to make additional visits to the site to collect missing data or even confirm previous measurements. 3D laser scanning allows a complete survey of the visible structure with a single visit. This information is available digitally for all teams involved, both in design and execution, providing a solid and accessible database. Errors arising from the lack of information, inaccurate and / or distinct measures between the parties are considerably mitigated.

2. What is the difference that 3D laser scanning generates in the project?

With a single survey you can carry out several studies, simulate scenarios, use in different applications - so that the cost of the service is diluted. In addition, other problems are anticipated and solved before they even occur and the solution chosen will be further optimized . This is only possible due to the high volume of information that the scan captures.
Thus, you can avoid : schedule delays, extrapolation of costs, deviations from projects, excessive consumption of materials, improper allocation of equipment and people, among several other factors that make up a project.

3. Why is 3D laser scanning still not widely used?

Everything that is new generates insecurity and requires a “learning curve”. There is a significant cost to the scanning service that is sometimes frightening and the benefits, despite being easily perceived, are often difficult to quantify. How to compare the cost of the service with the avoidable cost of interference in the work, arising from the absence or imprecision of the data traditionally collected, if this interference has not yet occurred? Many companies do not know exactly what the cost of rework, “break / break”, additional measurement visits, risk of accidents, among other factors that can be reduced with laser scanning. In addition, working with point cloud requires some practice and time for learning. That is why we offer both training options for those who want to work directly with the point cloud, as well as preparing deliverables so that the designer can easily do their job.

4. Does the 3D laser scanning service fit into any project?

Yes, in any project in any area of expertise. However, it is essential that there is a prior alignment between the customer and the service provider, so that there is full agreement between what needs to be collected and what will be delivered. Often in this conversation, it can be concluded that a simple photographic survey is enough, or even that the required information is beyond the equipment's capabilities (built-in piping, for example). The laser scanner is a very versatile device that, in combination with other technologies, can deliver a wide variety of products, each with its own particularities. That is why alignment is so important, so that customer expectations are met without unnecessary costs . We are always on hand to answer any questions as often as necessary.

5. How to use the full potential of 3D laser scanning?

A project is never the result of a single team. Construction company, structural designer, architects, electrical engineers, among others, come together around the same structure to create value for the customer. The work is one, but in practice each company ends up making its measurements and working with a different database. This ends up generating inaccuracies, conflicts and “break-break” during execution. The best use of laser scanning is when it is used by everyone involved, providing a solid and common database . Can it be used by only one team? It can, but the more shared, the greater the benefits . This is the essence of BIM, shared work.

As we mentioned earlier, laser scanning provides a high volume of high quality information. Therefore, the more this information is used by those involved, the greater the use. The difference between BIM and simple 3D modeling is the insertion of information into the model, and the point cloud is a rich source of data .

It is worth mentioning that the union of technologies has a high potential. These data, in addition to being used in the BIM methodology, can also be connected with programs such as Microsoft Power BI, which works with data intelligence. These technologies, when unified, deliver high decision-making power.
For this reason, we at WRodacki, in addition to the complete survey, also have a specialized and constantly developing team to extract the full potential of scanning and deliver value to you.
