The civil construction sector is one of the most important for the economy of Brazil, corresponding to 4.5% of the Brazilian GDP, according to the database CBIC-Brazilian Chamber of Construction Industry- 2018, having suffered falls until then. The scarcity of qualified labor, the lack of investments in new technologies and, above all, the lack of boldness in management and new solutions contributed to this scenario.

However, the forecast for 2019 is different. According to the Construction Industry Union of the State of São Paulo (Sinduscon-SP) and the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), civil construction is expected to grow in 2019 and may reach 2% more in relation to the 2018. It is necessary to be cautious, since, according to experts, the number of unemployment in civil construction in Brazil tends to increase if factors such as bureaucracy and lack of incentives and investments continue to affect the market.

To make the Brazilian industry embark on the new directions of civil construction, this year's ConstruTech Conference presented several technologies that can be immediately adopted by civil construction companies, in addition to highlighting the growth of startups that are transforming this industry. Construtech Ventures, a company that invests in the civil construction and real estate market chain, raised that in 2019 Brazil already has more than 12 thousand startups, 562 of which are dedicated to civil construction. The Brazilian states with the most construtechs are São Paulo with 230, Santa Catarina with 79, and Minas Gerais with 58. Robotics, 3D Printing, Machine Learning, Virtual Reality, IoT, Drones and many other technologies will be increasingly present on construction sites around the world and promise to leverage the sector in the coming years.

One of these innovative solutions that provides rich, accurate and agile material for various purposes is the 3D Laser Scanner. In order to automate the measurement process, this equipment allows millimeter precision for documentation and research in 3D. Some benefits of the 3D laser scanner are: increased production potential, reduced visits to the site and field staff, complete registration of the environment, minimization of risks, agility, interoperability, data quality, reduction of rework and elimination of worthless activities aggregate.

The real estate market has increased 10% compared to last year, and is close to a new technological leap. Construtechs, startups in the civil construction and real estate sectors, are companies with innovative proposals that can be the protagonists in the sector's renovation process. According to the ConstruTech Conference 2019, there are already twelve construtechs valued at more than a billion dollars, known as unicorns, and the prospect is only increasing. An example of this growth is the home rental apps, Housi and QuintoAndar. 100% digital applications that allow you to rent properties for as long as you want and wherever you want, with all the convenience necessary to simplify people's time and with the promise of reducing bureaucratic processes.

All of these solutions and technologies need to be used in a way that can assist in the development of the civil construction market. Certainly these innovations will come to change the scenario, allowing for faster, more sustainable works and with lower costs.
